I always felt frustrated with the lack of diversity in every space I was in, says Agyemang.

I ended up turning to major fashion and beauty publications to find people who looked like me.

Agyemang quickly learned that the pages of these magazines mirrored her small Ohio town.

Id find maybe one or two Black writers, but that would be about it.

Thats why, at 14, Agyemang swore she would give a voice to the voiceless in the media.
