Ive got short, curly lashes.
I live for a good mascara, and love throwing on falsies for special occasions.
Because theyre designed to go onto the lash, we dont want anything to be too heavy.
Even our thickest, fullest lash should feel weightless, and you should never feel that.

And even though the bonds are gentler on your lashes, theyre still effective.

There are two length options (10-12MM or 12-14MM), which come in all of the aforementioned styles.
Instead of full strips, Lashifys lashes come in little clusters called Gossamers.
To cover all of your lashes, you need about five or six of them.
They have a super thin band that gets fusedunderyour lashes, just above the lash line.
By applying to the underside, you get this really beautiful, seamless look on the top.

How to apply Lashify lashes

Apply the first layer of glue
Next, youll go in with a layer of the Whisper Light Bond.
Its double-sided and comes with a black micro-mascara wand on one side and a clear brush on the other.
Let it sit for 30 seconds or so, until it gets tacky.

Either way, know that you might take your time.
With the Whisper Light, weve got quite a bit of a long drying time, says Medicis.
Dont ever feel like you should probably rush to put them on.
Same as before, let this layer get tacky.
The clear goes on white and once it gets tacky, it dries down clear, says Medicis.
Be sure to keep this layer nice and thin.
We apply them away from the waterline so you dont feel them, says Medicis.

Also, if its touching the water line, its going to be exposed to constant moisture.
That moisture will start to break apart the bond.
You wont get that wear if youre looking for seven-to-10-day wear.
Let the lashes dry for a few seconds so theyre not slippery.
To spot fuse, hold the wand perpendicular to your lashes and fuse one Gossamer at a time.
Either way, you want to squeeze the Gossamer into place for about 10 seconds.
If the glue makes your lashes stick to the wand, just blink a few times to release them.
This makes them water resistant, says Medicis.
It will also remove any leftover stickiness.

Its got a really glossy finish though.
Sometimes brushing it through, you lose that soft, whispy feel, especially with Cs or As.
I always just keep it at the base because thats where you want to protect the bond anyways.
Any moisture that gets in there will start to break apart the bond, says Medicis.
For me now, Ive been wearing them for a while.
I went to Tulum, I was in the ocean.
I was in the humid air, whatever.
I know what bonding technique works for me.
When you first start out, attempt to avoid getting wet.
If they do get wet, no big deal.
Let them dry completely before you dive in touching them.
Wash your face with a washcloth to keep the water away from your lashes.
And if you put on eye makeup, remove it with Pre-Cleanse or any other oil-free makeup remover.
Also, be careful to keep your skin-care products away from your lashes.
I go to sleep looking like a glazed donut.
I have no issues with that because Im not letting them touch my Gossamer.
Alternatively, it’s possible for you to use micellar water.
Take the cotton pad and press it on your lashes for about 30 seconds.
Then you should be able to remove the Gossamers and any excess glue with ease.
I couldnt feel them at all and they were totally comfortable to sleep in.
Once I hit day seven, I fully removed the lashes to start fresh.
However, considering we lose aboutone to five eyelashesevery day, I wasnt really concerned.
I love everything about Lashify.
For me, theyre easier to apply than strip lashes even though the process takes a bit longer.
I also love how long they last.
However, Ill definitely be pulling them out for special occasions.
The best part was knowing that I wasnt harming my lashes.
Ive always loved the idea of lash extensions but was too scared that theyd ruin my already-short lashes.
